Bed and Breakfast Accommodation on the Isle of Skye

Welcome to Larchside bed and breakfast accommodation.  Larchside is a spacious, modern family home just two miles from the centre of Portree, where you will receive a warm welcome from us, Carol and Martin Lomas.  We share our home with our ginger cat, Pugwash, and Martin’s mother, Joan, and her cat, Ossie, who live in the annexe.

Although relatively new residents of Skye, having moved here from Oxfordshire in January 2007, we have many years of experience as visitors to the island and will be able to help you with ideas for day trips, walks or places of interest to visit.

Skye is a beautiful place which offers a wide range of landscapes, from the heights of craggy mountain ranges to picturesque open loch sides. There is something to satisfy all interests, whether it be bird watching, sight-seeing, discovering the local arts and crafts or hiking that takes your fancy. The island also boasts an intriguing history which makes for an interesting read when accompanied by a glass of local whisky!

Wherever you do decide to go on Skye you'll be guaranteed breathtaking scenery and places that you'll want to visit again and again. Come and enjoy discovering the island for yourselves!
